Q&A: How a QS counsellor helped me find my dream business school

Pranay Kasat is studying a Master of Science in Global Logistics at the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University. He applied to study there after working with a QS enrolment expert. 

We asked Pranay to share his experiences of working with QS to find the business school of his dreams. 

Why did you decide to study abroad? 

I decided to study abroad not only for international exposure and cultural immersion, but also to gain the specific business knowledge and relationships that would help me with global trade and supply chain management. As the US is the largest importer globally, I wanted to learn from their leading SCM programs and tech innovations that I could apply in my home country. 

Which factors were most important to you when choosing a study destination? 

The most important factors for me in choosing a study destination were academic reputation, programmes offered, location, and opportunities for cultural immersion.  

I wanted a destination that would provide an excellent education as well as a chance to experience a new place. 

How did you decide which business school you wanted to attend? 

After researching rankings, I narrowed my choice to ASU's W.P. Carey School of Business for its top-ranked supply chain management programme, partnerships with companies like Intel and Microsoft, and location in the business hub of Phoenix.  

This provided the perfect mix of strong academics and practical learning, with opportunities for hands-on experiences in global supply chain and logistics. 

How did you find out about QS? 

While exploring university rankings online, I came across QS and saw they offered comprehensive counselling services. The glowing reviews and testimonials about their expertise convinced me to reach out. 

What was your experience of working with a QS enrolment expert? 

I am writing to express my heartfelt gratitude to my counsellor, Principal Rajput, for all the support and guidance he provided throughout my journey of pursuing higher education in the USA.  

His assistance at every step, from selecting the right university to preparing for the visa interview, has been invaluable, and I cannot thank him enough for making my dreams a reality. 

What would be the most useful part of working with QS? 

The most useful part of working with QS was their help in creating a cohesive narrative about my interests and goals. My counsellor knew how to highlight my achievements in the best possible manner. He also helped me recognise my potential and shape my aspirations. 

What would you recommend to someone who is considering studying abroad? 

I would advise students to research all options, apply early, showcase your unique talents, and work with experts at QS who can guide you every step of the way. This will make the complex process much more achievable.
