The UCT GSB EMBA is not a traditional MBA. It assumes that, as an experienced manager, you have mastered the fundamentals of business and focuses instead on developing your proficiency in functional management. It is an applied learning experience aimed at building a bridge between theory and practice - drawing on systems thinking, design thinking and integrative thinking to enhance your ability to conceptualise, strategise and solve complex challenges.

  • Only African EMBA programme to rank in the top 50 EMBA programmes globally by Quacquarelli Symonds (2020) – Ranked 45th globally, and in the top 13.5% globally for the executive profile of its graduates, a significant percentage of whom work in the c-suite.
  • Only African EMBA programme to rank in the top 100 EMBA programmes globally by the Financial Times (2020) - Ranked 56th globally, 11th in the world for corporate social responsibility and 11th for its percentage of international students (Financial Times 2020 EMBA global rankings)
