FAQs

Schulich offers two options for part study. The program can be completed as Part-Time or Accelerated Part-Time. The Part-Time program can be completed in as little as 40 months (10 consecutive terms). The average is 48 months (taking 2 summers off). The Accelerated Part-Time program can be completed in 20 months (5 consecutive terms).
Students in the Accelerated program are granted advanced standing for all core courses in the curriculum. This shortens the program by half allowing students to graduate faster. Tuition fees are also reduced by half in this program. There is NO application required for the accelerated program. Qualification is automatically granted upon the review of an applicants file. To qualify for this program an MBA candidate must possess either an honors BBA or BCom degree from select Canadian universities that have a program structure similar to the Schulich BBA or iBBA program. The degree must have been awarded no more than 10 years ago. Those who have completed the CA designation are also eligible. A minimum GPA average of a B (75%) in the last two years of study and at least two years of full-time work experience after graduation are additional requirements.
Yes. Recently admitted students who wish to switch their study option before the start of classes must provide a written request to the Graduate Admissions office. Written notice must be received before the term begins. Students that have started their studies may switch study streams before the start of the next term by contacting the Student Services office.
At least two years of full-time work or life experience after graduating with a bachelor degree is required. While previous management experience is not required, it is helpful if you can demonstrate leadership, initiative and growth in your role. Non-traditional paths such as owning your own business, assistantship or other lab work completed during a PhD, volunteer work and military service can also be considered. Generally, co-op, summer or other internship experience does not satisfy the work requirement. However, applications are reviewed on an individual basis and, co-op or internships may be considered if the experience is outstanding.
