The Rutgers full-time MBA program is designed to ensure students are fully prepared to succeed in business. through academic training and hands-on experience, gained via an internship, MBA team consulting, case study competitions, and executive mentoring, among other real-world business activities. An intensive first-year experience helps students prepare for their summer internship and ensure they become competitive in the market; an intensive career management program and on-campus recruiting program prepares them for full-time opportunities in the second year.

MBA students are required to complete 60 credits in total, including core required courses in accounting for managers; business, ethics, and society; a career management program; financial management; organizational behavior; marketing management; operations analysis; and managerial economic analysis. Available concentrations include: analytics and information management, real estate, supply chain management, finance, marketing, global business, pharmaceutical management, strategy and leadership, marketing research insight and analytics, and technology commercialization, innovation and entrepreneurship. While is possible to choose two concentrations, dual concentrations require a minimum of 15 credits in each concentration, except in the case of Finance, Pharmaceutical Management, and Accounting, which require 18 credits each.

If desired, the MBA can be completed along with another degree from Rutgers University, with various dual-degree options available, most at both campuses. These include: an MBA/JD (law); an MBA/MPPP (public policy and planning); a doctor of medicine/MBA; an MBA/MPH (public health); MBA/MPP (public policy); an MBA /MSc in biomedical sciences; an MBA/master of accountancy in governmental accounting; a doctor of Pharmacy/MBA; and an MBA in professional accounting/accelerated BA or BSc.
