Beedie's part-time MBA at the Surrey campus combines theory and application to provide students with the confidence and ability to make decisions and manage more effectively. You will learn the most current and innovative management knowledge and skills which you can apply immediately at work. The perspective you gain on important business challenges of the future will ensure the program's value will endure for the life of your career. Our comprehensive curriculum explores relevant topics A part-time MBA offered continuously over 24 months keeps you in the workforce. Beginning in January, classes are held Tuesday and Thursday evenings with one or two 3-day intensive classes per year. What you learn: Core MBA knowledge plus topics vital for a constantly changing world, including creativity, innovation, sustainability and entrepreneurship. Students have the opportunity to practice making business decisions in a supportive, collaborative environment. It is safe to make mistakes -- it's all about learning. How you learn: Leading edge knowledge together with practical application, takes the learning from the classroom to your work -- tomorrow and into the future. Cases and projects bring leading edge business theory to life. Cases are descriptions of real business scenarios that put you in the role of the decision maker. Assignments and class discussions mirror the challenging situations students encounter in business. This enables you to apply what you learn to your own working life. Professors orchestrate the classroom experience to build on the expertise of the students in the room. Who you learn it with A team-based, small-class environment leverages the diverse experiences of your professional cohort. Collaborating with teammates from a variety of backgrounds and experiences brings together diverse and complementary skills to develop creative solutions to complex problems. This cohort model of learning, where you move through the program with the same individuals, contributes to lifelong personal and business connections. The SFU Beedie MBA is about expanding knowledge and expertise, increasing confidence, and enhancing your career: - Gain new perspectives and frameworks for thinking, analyzing, strategizing and leading - Improve communication, presentation and negotiation skills - Experience the benefits of collaboration and teamwork with an intelligent, motivated cohort of fellow students Schedule: The program runs Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6-9:30pm at the Surrey campus. The program starts in January and runs through the next 24 months consecutively. Terms run January to April; May to August; September to December.
