1. What were you doing before your MBA?
Executive Director (Strategy & Business Development Department) with a regional telecommunication provider in Germany.
2. What were your main reasons for deciding to attend business school?
Getting an US degree in business administration, internationally accepted. Focussing in Finance by achieving the International Banking Certificate jointly with the IMBA.
3. What were the main criteria in your selection?
- Content
- Time/Duration
- Fees
4. Why did you decide to study either in your own country or overseas?
Overseas, since I am living in the US due to private reasons. I also hold a German degree of business administration.
5. How well do your think the MBA is regarded in your home country?
International oriented education is well regarded in Germany.
6. How much do you expect to earn on graduation?
In Germany, Euro 70,000-80,000.
7. What do you expect to do on graduation and where do you expect to be based?
Working in the finance/banking sector or starting my own business in Germany.
8. How easy or difficult do you expect it to be to achieve these objectives
Due to the weak job market in Germany, top-positions are rare. Furthermore, there is no sufficient support for working mothers. Combing both (family and career) will be a challenge. A good, diversified and international education, combined with founded working experience will definitely help me to find a suitable position. I am convinced, with my IMBA and Finance degree, I am more flexible to take on different positions.
