TopMBA.com talks to Roberto Iervolino about how he chose Tuck School of Business for his MBA, and how he believes it will affect his career. 

Why did you decide to attend Tuck?

It was the best school if you take into account teaching and student environment. Plus, I wanted to be known by my first name.      

What research did you undertake in selecting Tuck?

Talked to many people, including peers, my boss, friends and alumni. I also researched specialized literature, and finally, I went to he US to attend an MBA fair.

What are the benefits of studying outside your home country?

International experience, getting to know a different business environment, plus it is fun to go out of your "comfort zone".      

How did you finance your studies?

The company I worked for (which I am still working with) paid tuition + part of living expenses.

What were your career objectives after your MBA? What were you doing before your MBA?

My objectives were to go back to consulting.     

How has your MBA helped your career?

I was able to progress in the consulting career, and it made my job easier, since I am much better prepared in finance skills.     

What has been your financial impact on MBA career?

Quite good, since a post-MBA consultant earns more than double his / her previous salary.
