The French-Arabian Business School was established in 2007 by an agreement between the Arabian Gulf University and the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The school was established to “promote human resource skills and develop education, research and expertise in the various areas of management, business administration and finance which are of particular relevance to the Gulf region”, as stated in the establishment agreement. The link with distinguished French business schools and universities enables the school to draw on the experience and reputation of these institutions in the developing solid, relevant and unique programs to best serve the needs of the GCC states. The school changed its name to the French Arabian Business School (FABS) in order to be in tune with international standards and increase regional visibility. FABS is now cooperating with the ESSEC Business School, one of Europe’s leading business schools, to offer an MBA with a regional flavor, following an extensive marketing study in the Middle East which included Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, United Arab Emirates and Lebanon.
