Students Tell Us Why They Chose UCI Paul Merage For Their MBA
By Linda Mohamed
Updated UpdatedFrom great weather to West Coast hospitality, California is without a doubt a desirable place to live. UCI Paul Merage School of Business is just one of the many business schools located in the Golden State, but what makes its MBA program unique?
We’ve spoken to two students to find out.
Matthew Morris, student from the Class of 2019, says that Merage’s proximity to California’s best employment hubs, the support candidates receive throughout the program and the scholarships available make it the ideal school to pursue an MBA in.
According to Matthew, Merage students also get a wide range of invaluable opportunities for personal and professional growth.
He says, “Look for opportunities to take up leadership roles. I think that when you come to a program like here at Merage there’s gonna be plenty of opportunities to join clubs, to take leadership positions within your class and to really make a difference and a name for yourself on campus.”
During his MBA, Matthew has had the opportunity to connect with businesses, participate in consulting projects and bring in speakers – something that he attributes to Merage’s location and the school’s spirit of entrepreneurship.
Max Lechner, another Merage MBA student from the Class of 2019, agrees with Matthew.
He says he too chose the school for its focus on entrepreneurship and growth opportunities: “Having that experience in entrepreneurship forced me to explore everything, from marketing to budgetary expenses at the level I never even thought I would get into.”
