How long have you been with the school and what attracted you to take up the role?

I joined Babson in April 2018 from Johns Hopkins University, where I’d spent the last 10 years. I’m passionate about higher education in general and found enormous satisfaction in growing and repositioning graduate business schools for both financial sustainability and reputational gains.

How do you describe the school to people who’ve never stepped foot on campus?

Babson’s strength is its ability to execute on its trade mark of Entrepreneurial Thought & Action®. The curriculum guides and prepares students to think and act like an entrepreneur. It’s ideal for those who want to start business, as well as those who will be among the first hired, or those most depended on to grow business into its next rendition.

What do you love most about working at and representing the school?

What I love most is that Babson delivers on its promise of Entrepreneurial Thought & Action. Ideas don’t sit and linger—we’re called to action. I asked an industry leader upon my arrival at Babson, “Why do you hire Babson grads?” This industry leader said, “Babson grads can go further faster.” I see that to be true as well. Babson students are quick and thorough; they’re less timid yet still humble and curious.

How would describe the culture of the school?

Babson has a relatively small environment that is very collaborative and eager to do more. There’s a sense of great enthusiasm and willingness to get the job done. No twiddling fingers here at Babson—only rolled-up sleeves, and people ready for action.

What do you believe to be the unique approach your school takes in shaping future business leaders?

ET&A—Entrepreneurial Thought & Action. Students learn by doing.

What are your favorite things to do in the local area when you’re not working?

Love the Freedom Trail tour offered in Boston; also enjoy all things sports related.

What advice would you have for someone who is considering applying to your school?

Come to visit the campus—better yet, attend a class during one of our visitor programs. You will see our action-oriented classes are on a regular basis. Or, talk to our alumni. Once you engage with a Babson alumnus, you will see how different we really are.

Where do you see the school in five years?

Still No. 1 in entrepreneurship and leading the discourse and training of women entrepreneurs.
