Released today, the QS Online MBA Rankings 2020 assess the online MBA offerings of 47 business schools worldwide, demonstrating just how easy it is to earn your MBA from the comfort of your home.

Kicking off our top 10 is the WebMBA from Georgia Southern University.
The 19-month program has a small cohort of 40, with 45 percent of participants identifying as female. The average student work experience is 9 years.
There are two candidate intakes per year, in January and August.
9) The Open University Business School
Tuition: US$23,495.80
In ninth place is The Open University Business School’s online MBA, which scored highly for the class profile and class experience indicators.
The university offers two candidate intakes a year, in May and November, as well as different duration slots. Students can complete the program from 18 months to seven years, but most tend to finish in 36 months.
The Open University’s online MBA focuses on developing critical and strategic analysis, management skills, creativity and innovation.
8) University of Wisconsin MBA Consortium
Tuition: US$23,250
Next, we have the University of Wisconsin MBA Consortium’s online MBA, which has 17 required credits and 13 credits of electives available on the program.
Participants have on average 10 years of work experience, with 29 percent of this year’s cohort identifying as female. Students take an average of 32 months to complete the program.
All faculty members are required to take an online course prior to teaching the MBA to ensure that students receive high-quality distance education. The course is available through Canvas, the open source learning management system.
7) CENTRUM Catolica
Tuition: US$23,123
CENTRUM Catolica’s online MBA scored highly for faculty and teaching.
On average, its students have 10 years’ work experience. In the 2020 cohort of 147, 26 percent are women and 7 percent are international students. According to our data, the average program length is 22 months.
CENTRUM’s online MBA has a humanistic and competency-based approach, allowing students to personalize their b-school journey with a range of co-curricular activities including webinars, online meetings, video conferences and mobile e-learning.
6) The Robert Gordon University Aberdeen Business School
Tuition: US$22,528.40
Aberdeen Business School’s online MBA focuses on practical teaching to give its students advanced leadership skills and an in-depth understanding of different areas of business.
Participants have the option to choose a specialization, such as the MBA Oil and Gas Management specialist course, to tailor their curriculum to their interests.
This year’s small student cohort of 26 has one of the highest averages for work experience – 14 years – and is one of the most international on the list with 69 percent international students. 19 percent of students are female.
The program takes an average of 33 months to complete. Activities include two-and-a-half hours per week of lectures, webinars and 32-48 hours of practical classes or workshop in the final semester.
5) Oxford Brookes Business School
Tuition: US$20,858.65
Oxford Brookes is a signatory to the UN’s Principles of Responsible Management Education, a theme that is consistent in its online MBA program.
Students are in fact encouraged to learn more about the social and ethical issues faced in the business world. The course provides a holistic and integrated approach to teaching, through which participants have the opportunity to interact with guest speakers from non-profit and non-standard businesses.
Over half of this year’s cohort of 122 are international students, of which 45 percent are women. Participants have an average 13 years’ work experience.
The program takes an average 27 months to complete.
4) EU Business School
Tuition: US$19,515.84
In fourth place is Spain’s EU Business School. Its online MBA program received a perfect score for class experience and has one of the highest percentages of female representation at 56 percent.
Graduates will also receive a state-accredited MBA from the University of Roehampton in London, as well as their EU degree. The program incorporates interactive webinars and business simulations with on-campus weeks for networking.
This year’s cohort of 89 is 100 percent international, with the average level of work experience for students being 9.5 years.
The program takes an average of 15 months to complete.
3) SBS Swiss Business School
Tuition: US$17,819.25
Sliding into third place is Switzerland’s SBS Swiss Business School, whose multicultural online MBA program surpasses gender parity with 52 percent female representation and has earned a high score for class experience.
This year’s cohort of 53 students has an average 9 years’ work experience. The program takes an average 24 months to complete.
There are 15 modules on the SBS online MBA, each taking eight weeks to complete. Aside from traditional e-teaching, students can participate in a wide range of webinar sessions and online forums.
2) University of South Florida St. Petersburg
Tuition: US$16,617
Earning the silver medal for cheapest tuition is the University of South Florida St. Petersburg.
There are 120 students in this year’s cohort, with half identifying as female. The average student work experience is 6.6 years.

The program has the largest cohort of all the online MBA programs available in our global ranking with 4392 participants, of which 42.91 percent are women and 26.25 percent are international students.
The average length is 24 months.
