Top universities for master's in business analytics

Updated UpdatedThe recently released QS World University Rankings: Business Master’s Rankings features 149 of the top universities to study for a master’s degree in business analytics.
The rankings are based on five different indicators: value for money, thought leadership, employability, diversity, and alumni outcomes. Here, you can find more information about the methodology and how the rankings are put together.

Top universities in the United States and Canada
There are 65 Noth American universities featured in the rankings for a master’s in business rankings. 62 of these are in the United States including the top-ranking school this year, UCLA (Anderson) and three other institutions in the global top 10. Outside of the top 10, USC Marshall School of Business (11th), Washinton Foster School of Business (16th), Perdue Krannert School of Management (21st) and Minnesota Carlson School of Management (23rd) were also highly ranked.
In Canada, there are three schools which are offering a master’s degree in business analytics. The highest ranked of these is Toronto Rotman School of Management which ranks 12th overall and earns its highest score in the alumni outcomes indicator.
Top universities in Europe
21 universities and business schools in Europe offer a master’s degree in business analytics. The UK is home to the highest number of schools that offer this course: 21 in total. One of these schools features in the top 10, Imperial College Business School, which ranked sixth overall, while Warwick Business School (14th), Manchester Alliance Business School (17th) and University of Edinburgh Business School (22nd) all rank in the top 50.
Another three of the universities in the top 10 are from France. France has 11 schools that offer a master’s degree in business analytics, the second-highest number in Europe. Outside of the top 10, EMLyon Business School (26th), EDHEC Business School (30th), Institut Polytechnique de Paris (37th) and SKEMA Business School (45th), all also rank in the top 50. In Spain, there are five schools. One is in the top 10, while Esade Business School (18th) and EAE Business School (81-90) are in the top 100.
Ireland has four business schools offering this course. These include two in the top 50, Trinity Business School (=27th) and UCD Smurfit Graduate Business School (35th), as well as Cork University Business School and NUI Galway which both rank 101+.
Italy has three schools: Politecnico di Milano (48th), Luiss Business School (91-100) and Bologna University Business School (101+).
Both Germany and the Netherlands have two business schools offering a master’s degree course in business analytics. The highest-ranked of these is Erasmus RSM (20th) in Rotterdam, the Netherlands followed by University of Mannheim Business School (46th) in Germany. The other German and Dutch schools, Frankfurt School of Finance and Management (61-70) and Tilburg University (91-100) both feature in the top 100.
Greece, Norway, and Poland each have one school which offers this course. In Greece, Athens University of Economics and Business ranks 101+ and in Poland Warsaw School of Economics ranks 51-60. The highest-ranked school in these countries BI Norwegian Business School, ranks within the top 50 at 41st.
Top universities in Australia
Australia has four schools that offer a master’s degree in business analytics this year. The highest-ranked of these is Melbourne Business School (15th) which ranks within the top 20. It scored highest for alumni outcomes and employability, highlighting the focus it places on student career prospects after graduation. Macquarie Business School (71-80) and Sydney Business School (81-90) also rank within the top 100 for this course.
Top universities in Asia and the Middle East
14 Asian countries have earned a place in the master’s in business analytics rankings this year. The countries with the highest number of institutions offering this course are India and Hong Kong SAR with three business schools each. Two of Hong Kong SAR’s universities, The Chinese University of Hong Kong Shenzhen (32nd) and City University of Hong Kong (44th), are ranked within the top 50. India’s top-ranked university, IIM Calcutta (61-70) is within the top 100 and scored highly in the employability indicator, suggesting how highly-valued the university is among employers.
Both Mainland China and Singapore have two universities that offer this course. Singapore’s top-ranked university, NUS Business School (10th), is the only Asian entry to the top 10 list and scores particularly well in the value for money indicator. Its second business school SMU - School of Information Systems (24th) is also ranked highly within the top 25. Mainland China’s top-ranked school, Zhejiang University (61-70), is within the top 100 and scored well in the alumni outcomes indicator.
Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, and Türkiye each have one entry to the master’s in business analytics rankings. The highest-ranked of these is Lebanon’s Olayan School of Business (61-70) which scored highly in the value for money indicator. This is followed by Saudi Arabia’s KFUMP Business School (71-80) which is also ranked within the top 100. Thailand’s Asian Institute of Technology and Türkiye's Sabanci Business School are both ranked 101+.
Top universities in Latin America
There are three business schools from Latin America in the rankings this year. Two of these are from Peru: CENTRUM Catolica Business School (101+,) which received its highest score in the employability indicator, and Pacifico Business School (101+) which received its highest score for value for money.
The highest-ranked Latin American business school to offer a master’s in business analytics this year is EGADE Business School (19th) from Monterrey, Mexico. This school is ranked within the top 20 and received a perfect score for value for money as well as scoring highly in the employability and alumni outcomes indicators.
Top universities in Africa
There are two African universities offering a master’s degree in business analytics this year. These are the Mediterranean School of Business in Tunisia, which ranks highly for employability, and Milpark Business School from South Africa, which receives its highest score for value for money. Both institutions are ranked 101+ in the overall rankings list.
