Find Your Startup with the Made in NY Digital Map

Or are you an NYC startup founder looking for investors to help you grow your business or a place to operate your business from? The Made in NY Digital Map can help you find the startups or investors that are right for you.
Created just in time for Internet Week NY, the Made in NY Digital Map shows the location of over 500 startups, investors, coworking spaces in all five boroughs. The map data comes from NYC Digital, the New York City Economic Development Corporation, Internet Week NY, the New York Tech Meetup, and user-generated submissions. The map was created by the Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment in conjunction with Internet Week NY, and the New York Tech Meetup. Unlike the Startup Genome, not only can you see startups and investors, you can also see which startups are actually hiring. As of the date of this article, 324 NYC startups are hiring.
When you visit the Made in NY Digital Map website, you will see a map with different icons:
Colors are used to show how many startups, investors, and/or co-working spaces are concentrated in a particular area:
Zooming in in on map locations will show you what digital companies are in a particular location. Clicking on one of the number circles will open up a box listing all the companies located in that area. For example, the dialog box in the map pictured below shows that there are 59 digital located on East 20th Street and Broadway.
Not only can the Made in NY Digital Map show you what startups are hiring in your neighborhood, it can also show you where most of the companies and jobs actually are. This can be helpful in picking the right location or co-working space for your startup.
