Our selection process is designed to identify talented professionals from a wide range of academic, business and cultural backgrounds. While there are formal entry requirements listed below, we take into consideratiion

  • your potential
  • your interpersonal and team working qualities
  • and the range and nature of their managerial experience

In order to assess these skills we ask you to complete a number of essays outlining your experience and aspirations along with references supporting your work experience and academic record. We may ask you to undertake a formal interview to discuss your achievements and aspirations.

For entry to the MBA programme you must

  • hold a first degree (professional qualifications will also be considered)
  • be at least 24 years of age
  • have a minimum of three years' full-time postgraduate experience where the management of people and resources has played a significant role.

Tuition fees per academic year for 2021/22

  • Full-time MBA - £31,450
  • Part-time Excutrive MBA - £10,025 (total fee: £20,050)

Deciding to study the MBA is a considerable financial investment. You should research how you are going to finance this as early as possible. The majority of students on the full-time programme are self-funded. UK students can apply to loan schemes to fund their studies and non-UK students usually raise their own finances through bank loans or scholarships. The University's Finance Office administers instalment plans for tuition fee payments by self-funded students.

Each year, the Business School provides a range of scholarship opportunities for those students who are self-funding their MBA studies. If a you are is in receipt of funding or a scholarship from an organisation such as the British Council or a corporate body, it is unlikely that you will be eligible for financial assistance via our scholarship schemes.

Assessment throughout the programme involves a combination of course work, workshops, examinations, group work and presentations.

Examinations are scheduled in December, March and August for Glasgow based study routes, and in August and March for study via international centres.

The University has a large student village with a variety of accommodation both on-campus and nearby. All successful applicants for the full-time programme will be sent on- campus accommodation details.
