About Nottingham University Business School
COVID-19 Information: Please check the end of this section
Nottingham University Business School is one of the UK’s leading centres for management education and is globally ranked among the world’s top business schools. The School is one of only 131 worldwide accredited by EQUIS (European Quality Improvement System). Uniquely, this EQUIS accreditation applies to all of the Business School’s international operations, including campuses in the UK, China and Malaysia.
Nottingham leads the UK in responsible education - ranked 1st in the UK, 8th in Europe and 45th globally in the Aspen Institute's prestigious 2011-12 'Beyond Grey Pinstripes' ranking of MBA programmes and faculty research that integrate social, environmental, and ethical issues in business. The MBA is also ranked in the top 100 by the Economist Intelligence Unit (Which MBA?) 2011.
Located on the University’s modern, award-winning Jubilee Campus, close to the city centre, we offer among the best MBA facilities in the UK. The Business School has over 500 postgraduate students on its MBA, Masters, and PhD programmes, while the University is one of the most popular in the UK, with an international reputation for teaching and research.
COVID19 information:
While our EMBA has been modified to be delivered by remote means through our online systems, we’re working to ensure that all students receive the same access to materials, lecturers, tutors and extra-curricular support materials. We’re employing real time and asynchronous teaching methods and are committed to ensuring that quality of interactions is maintained. As soon as we’re advised it is safe to do so, our face to face teaching and other on-campus activities will resume.
The EMBA teaching and administration teams are still working hard to maintain our high standards of support and interaction. Prospective students are invited to email us at [email protected] and we’ll be pleased to respond to questions and queries about the programme.
We are holding virtual breakfast and evening events and details are on: https://www.nottingham.ac.uk/business/programmes/mba/meet-us.aspx
The Executive MBA has a rolling enrolment process. During this time our Executive MBA application process will continue to offer virtual interviews with applicants and informal discussions with our Programme Directors/Administrators. We’d be pleased to hear from international applicants to explore options for enrolling in the Executive MBA. As our delivery will be conducted through remote means until we are advised that we can recommence on-campus block release, it is still possible for international students to engage with learning activities. Of course, considerable off campus support such as library services, professional development activities, career advice and digital content is still available from wherever a student can access the internet. Details of how to apply are here: https://www.nottingham.ac.uk/business/programmes/mba/apply.aspx
The scale and impact of the pandemic in human and economic terms should not be underestimated. All leaders and managers, be they from the private, public or third sector, will have a central role to play in rebuilding organisations to meet the demands of a much changed and challenged economy.
Notions of what leadership looks like, how we manage work and who we engage to undertake work have been questioned and must be re-imagined. Contemporary leadership and management capability will be at a premium and the capacity to clearly strategise, innovate and execute responses to a business landscape much modified are imperative. Learning gained from a contemporary Executive MBA can equip emerging and experienced leaders with the suite of capabilities demanded at a time when traditional approaches to leadership and management may be redundant.
Nottingham University Business School is recognised as a world leader in its class and is proud to know that it equips its students and alumni with the personal and professional capabilities demanded in times of uncertainty and volatility. If there was ever a time to build leadership capabilities in a world forever changed, it is now. We look forward to receiving enquiries and applications from those individuals who envisage themselves playing an important role in the redevelopment of our workplaces, businesses, institutions and our global economy. email: [email protected]
