MBA programs are expensive, especially if you are studying abroad. The Kofi Annan Fellowship at ESMT is a fellowship grant awarded to an emerging leader from a developing country, so they can attend ESMT's one-year full-time MBA program in Berlin, Germany.

Kofi Annan Fellowship for Emerging Leaders from Developing Countries

The value of the fellowship is 58,000 GBP which includes a full scholarship as well as compensation for travel costs and program-related fees. ESMT will also provide fellows with support for visas, housing, insurance, job placement and networking.

Applicants for the Kofi Annan Fellowship, need to have a Bachelor's degree, a minimum of three years professional experience, fluency in written and spoke English and a willingness to be the impetus for economic and social change in their home country. Students can apply starting in January and the deadline is September 30. Up to 3 Kofi Annan Fellowships are awarded each year. This year's Kofi Annan Fellows have come to ESMT from Armenia, Ghana, Egypt, Nepal, and Zimbabwe.

Founded in 2002 by 25 global comapnies and institutions, ESMT is an international business school with a European focus. Its curriculum focuses on three main topics: competitiveness, responsible leadership, and management of technology. Their full-time MBA class is made up of 41 students from 24 countries. In addition to the one-year MBA program, ESMT also has an executive MBA program.
