HEC Paris Kicks Off Week of Virtual Information Sessions: MBA News
By Tim Dhoul
Updated UpdatedHow much of an insight into an on-campus MBA program can be gained from online information sessions? HEC Paris clearly thinks that the format has much to offer, as it launches a full five days of interactive talks, presentations and masterclasses starting today, July 21.
Aside from sessions providing admissions advice and introductions to the HEC Paris full and part-time MBA program, as well as students’ options with regards to specializations, there are also a couple of online masterclasses on offer.
Replicating an MBA program classroom experience
One of the masterclasses looks into the interplay between soft and hard skills in management by asking ‘Who are Better Leaders? Competent Jerks or Lovable Fools?’, and is designed to give those taking part a feel for the classroom experience in its MBA program.
The series, known as HEC & You Online, was introduced for the first time last year as a means of facilitating contact between prospective students and faculty members, alumni and career services staff.
HEC Paris recently marked 50 years at its Jouy-en-Josas campus with this amusing video, featuring cows and students bobbing up and down, as well as tracing the school’s growth at its current home – 12 miles to the south-west of the French capital.
If you prefer your MBA program research to be conducted in person, then Saïd Business School is holding an open day (open house) event next month, August 29, at its Oxford campus. The event features a sample lecture, alongside a Q&A session with current students.
