GMAT videos are a good way to prepare for the GMAT from home, get a sneak peak of what a certain GMAT class would be like or brush up on material before the big test. Most GMAT videos are offered as part of paid subscription services, but free videos are included in this list as well.
Khan Academy has GMAT videos that cover the GMAT's math problem solving and data sufficiency questions. Each video walks you through questions from the GMAC GMAT book (11th Edition). Each video has a virtual blackboard feel, since you see someone writing out the answers as they explain them aloud. Khan academy has 90+ GMAT videos and each video lasts approximately 10 minutes.
Manhattan Review, a GMAT prep and MBA admissions consulting company, has two GMAT related playlists on YouTube:
GMAT Verbal for grammar, sentence correction, critical reasoning and reading comprehension
GMAT Math for the algebra, arithmetic, geometry, probability, combinatorics skills needed to answer problem solving and data sufficiency questions
Some of the videos are excerpts from Review GMAT courses taught in various cities and others have a problem solving format similar to Khan Academy videos. Manhattan Review also offers videos on the MBA admissions process as well as business English (ideal for TOEFL takers). Although Manhattan Review doesn't have an app, you can view their videos on your smartphone or tablet using the YouTube for Mobile app.
The GMAT pill is a subscription-based video only GMAT course taught by Zeke Lee, the "'98th %ile in 2 weeks' guy from Stanford". The videos, which were featured in a Business Week article, are based on the thought process and visualization methods pro athletes use to boost their performance. The videos are designed to show Lee's thought process since viewers can see what parts of the GMAT question Lee is looking at. This allows GMAT takers to understand Lee's thought process and so they can approach GMAT questions in the same way.
The GMAT Pill has two parts: the core framework for each section, and how to apply that framework to GMAT questions. The complete package costs $347 and is designed to be studied in one month. There is a GMAT Pill iPhone app, as well as a free eBook.
GMAT Prep Now is an on demand GMAT video service with modules starting at $10 each. Instead of paying for the whole course, GMAT takers can buy only the modules they need. Some modules have free content including:
