MBA scholarships for Indian students

Whether you choose to remain in India for your MBA, or travel the world for an international experience, there are scholarships available across the world. Here are some of the most exciting opportunities available:
Global MBA scholarships
Inlaks Shivdasani Scholarships – For Indian students studying at top-rated American, UK and European institutions for a full-time master’s programme including an MBA. Applicants must be Indian passport holders and residents in India at the time of application. Deadline 30 March 2023.
QS World Merit Leadership MBA Scholarship – Designed to award MBA applicants with an exceptionally strong level of leadership and innovative thinking. US$10,000 is up for grabs, which must be used for tuition fees. Applicants must attend a QS recruitment event either in-person or online, and have accepted an offer by the time a winner is chosen. Deadline 31 May 2023.
Go Global MBA Scholarship for MBA studies – Awarded by educations.com, this scholarship provides students with US$7,000 to help cover tuition fees. Applicants must study an MBA abroad in a country where you don’t hold citizenship or where you reside. Deadline 24 April 2023.
MBA scholarships for domestic Indian students
IDFC First Bank MBA Scholarship Program – A need-based scholarship for full-time MBA students. This prize is awarded to students who have secured a place in an Indian business school on their own merit and have a family income of less than 6 lakhs per annum. Applications will open later in 2023.
Schulich School of Business India scholarships – The India campus offers scholarships for students on the MBA in India. The Stewart Family Entrance Scholarship and Kamlesh G. Moorjani Entrance Scholarships offer between US$1,000 and US$10,000 for students entering the MBA programme.
Indian School of Business scholarships – A range of scholarships available for postgraduate and MBA students at the Indian School of Business. Scholarships include the Professor Manasa Mandava Memorial Scholarship awarded to a woman applicant with high merit, and the Amit Khanna Scholarship for students who are the sole earning member of their family.
SPJIMR scholarships – Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s S.P. Jain Institute of Management and Research is offering a range of means-based financial assistance and merit-based scholarships for students on the Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management programme in Mumbai.
IIM Bengalaru Employment in Social Sector Scholarship – This scholarship reimburses the recipient one-third of tuition fees at the end of each year working for the social sector, for three years.

North American MBA scholarships
MPOWER MBA Scholarship – A US$10,000 prize for international students enrolled in a full-time MBA programme at a US or Canadian business school supported by MPOWER. Check back later this year when applications re-open.
INSEAD Deepak and Sunita Gupta Endowed Scholarship – Aimed at outstanding candidates with limited financial means, this scholarship will enable INSEAD to attract diverse candidates from economically challenged regions of the world to study on the MBA programme at The Wharton School, Philadelphia. A variety of deadlines for different start dates.
Chicago Booth A. H. Tobaccowala Fellowship – Established by Chicago Booth alumnus and innovative business leader in memory of his father, this fellowship is awarded to students whose primary home is within India at the time of application.
Haskayne School of Business MBA scholarships – A range of scholarships for first-year students on the MBA programme at Haskayne School of Business, University of Calgary. Contact the school for further information.
Rotman School of Management In-program awards – Offering scholarships, fellowships and awards to Morning or Evening MBA students who have completed the first year of their programme, funding is available for international students on the basis of academic merit and financial need.
Forté Foundation MBA scholarships – To advance women in business leadership, the Forté Foundation has awarded over US$330,000 million to more than 13,000 fellows via its partner business schools in the US and Canada. Join the foundation with a free membership to find out more.
Hoegg Family MBA Scholarship – Saunder School of Business at the University of British Columbia is offering two CAD$25,000 scholarships for students on the MBA programme. One of these awards is for a female international student with evidenced leadership skills. Students are automatically considered in the admissions process.
MBA scholarships in the UK
Felix Scholarships – The Felix Scholarship enables outstanding students from India to pursue graduate studies in any subject at the University of Oxford, the University of Reading and the School of Oriental and African Studies at the University of London. Deadlines vary between schools, so check the individual university websites later in the year for 2024 entry.
Chevening scholarships – A global scholarship for outstanding emerging leaders to pursue a one-year master’s degree, including an MBA. It’s a fully funded scholarship that covers tuition fees, travel and visa costs. Applications open in August each year.
Commonwealth scholarships – For talented individuals with the potential to make a positive impact in the world, the Commonwealth scholarships provide full funding for a master’s programme in the UK, travel to and from the UK and a living allowance. Applications close in October 2023.
GREAT scholarships – In partnership with the British Council, the GREAT scholarships provide funding for MBA candidates in India and 17 other nationalities across Africa, Asia and Europe. Maximum funding is £10,000 GBP which covers tuition fee only. Visit the university websites for specific deadlines. Prizes will be awarded by 30 June 2023.
Lancaster University Management School MBA Scholarship – Designed to attract and support students with the potential to contribute to the social and cultural diversity of the MBA programme, this scholarship is open to international students from India. Applicants must have received a conditional or unconditional offer for a place at Lancaster University. Check the university website for details.
University of Bath MBA Scholarship – Covering all or part of your tuition fees, scholarships are available for international students, as well as those from the UK. You must have received an offer to study on the full-time MBA or Executive MBA programme. There are four deadlines, check the university website.
MBA scholarships elsewhere in the world
IMD Hilti Scholars Program – IMD in Switzerland is supporting the brightest STEM background MBA scholars by covering 50 percent of their tuition fees. The programme supports six IMD MBA scholars each year. Deadlines from February to October 2023.
EADA Scholarship for Excellence MBA – Students who have applied for an MBA programme at EADA Business School in Barcelona, Spain can apply for the Scholarship for Excellence, providing 25 percent of the tuition fee. Deadline 20 May 2023.
HKUST MBA scholarships – The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology is offering several scholarships for MBA students to fund partial or full tuition fee, some of which are open to international students. Check the website for details.
Melbourne Business School Dean’s International Management Scholarship – Awarded to outstanding international students on the MBA programme, this scholarship provides a full tuition fee waiver. Check the website for dates for 2024 entry.
MOE Taiwan Scholarship Program – Encouraging outstanding South Asian students to undertake a postgraduate programme in Taiwan, this scholarship awards NTD 40,000 each semester and a monthly stipend of NTD 20,000. Funded by the Ministry of Education in Taiwan. Deadline 31 March 2023.
SDA Bocconi School of Management scholarships – Italian business school, SDA Bocconi is offering 35 tuition fee waivers and scholarships for MBA applicants in 2023/24. This includes a tuition waiver for a student from the Partial Central Asia and Indian subcontinent region. Deadline 20 April 2023.
National University of Singapore MBA scholarships – NUS Business School has a range of MBA scholarships available depending on your circumstances and demonstration of excellence. Check the website for more details.
