What is an Executive MBA? How is it different from a Full-time MBA?
Considering an Executive MBA versus a Full-time MBA? Here's a breakdown:
An Executive MBA caters to experienced professionals, allowing them to continue working while studying part-time. In contrast, a Full-time MBA suits those with less experience, committing to full-time study.
In an Executive MBA, you'll cover the same subjects but with flexibility around your work schedule. Vlerick's Executive MBA spans 18 months, with classes on Fridays and Saturdays, every four weeks, alternating between Ghent and Brussels.
Vlerick offers two other part-time options:
European Executive MBA: A 15-month program combining on-campus, online learning, and immersive experiences in top European business hubs.
Online Executive MBA: Fully online, self-paced, interactive, completing in 15 or 18 months.
What level of English is needed to follow the MBA programmes?
Our MBA programmes are delivered entirely in English. So to follow this programme, you must be able to read, write and discuss in good, professional English.
You’ll also find that across Brussels and Belgium, English is widely spoken – so a good level of English will be useful to you off campus too.
Do graduates of the MBA programmes get a degree or a diploma?
Yes – when you successfully complete one of the Vlerick MBA programmes, you’ll have a recognised and valuable Masters in Business Administration degree from a top-ranked business school.
